VDV supports the Charity-Project ‘Kleine Helden’ at Europa-Park with a donation

As part of its 50th anniversary celebrations, Europa-Park is launching a long-term charity project designed to give families with a child suffering from cancer a free break at Europa-Park and Waterworld Rulantica after successful treatment. On 23 June this year, the foundation stone was ceremoniously laid for the “House of Little Heroes” project - a facility with an educational and therapeutic concept developed together with paediatric oncology specialists - which will be integrated into Europa-Park's Riverside Western Lodge. The centre is designed as a permanent facility and will benefit more than 100 families each year. It is being realised in cooperation with the RTL - Wir helfen Kindern e.V. foundation, supported by project sponsor DJ BoBo and Miriam Mack, who is an ambassador for the children's home.

The German Association of Amusement Rides & Accessory Manufacturers (VDV) is supporting the project with a generous donation of 5,000 euros. The trade association, in which all German manufacturers of roller coasters, attractions, play and amusement facilities and their suppliers are organized, has represented the companies for 38 years with a nationally and internationally united appearance and action in enforcing their high demands on technology, safety and quality standards in the leisure industry. At their last general meeting, the entrepreneurs agreed to support the fantastic Little Heroes project initiated by Europa-Park. The donation cheque was presented by VDV President Wieland Schwarzkopf during the laying of the foundation stone. The opening of the children's centre, which will benefit over 100 families a year, is planned for spring 2026.
